"Utility" and "Marketing" are the categories we'd expect; Meta checks each template and makes the final call. Variables like {{1}} are placeholders you fill in.
How do I use these templates?
Inside the 24-hour window after a customer messages you, send any of these as a normal message. Outside it, WhatsApp only allows approved templates, so submit the text in your WhatsApp Business API tool first. Replace each {{1}}, {{2}} and so on with a variable, and give Meta an example value for each.
Which category should each template be?
Meta has three categories. Updates about something the customer already did, such as a booking, order or payment, are usually utility. Follow-ups that aim to sell, offers and win-backs are marketing. One-time passwords are authentication. Meta checks the category you choose and can change it, and the category sets the price.
How often should I follow up on WhatsApp?
Follow up while the interest is fresh and stop when the customer says no. A common rhythm is the same day, then a few days later, then a week or two after that, each message adding something new, such as a photo, a price detail or an answer. Always give an easy way to stop.

Frequently asked questions
Can I send these to people who haven't messaged me?
Only if they've opted in to hear from your business, and only as an approved template. WhatsApp requires opt-in before you message anyone.
Can I translate them into Hindi or Hinglish?
Yes. Write them in the language your customers use. Meta doesn't translate templates, so submit one version per language.
Why do some templates have a Stop option?
Marketing messages should make it easy to opt out. It keeps customers from blocking or reporting you, which protects your number's quality rating.
Can Sid send these automatically?
Yes. Sid sends follow-ups on its own, using approved templates outside the 24-hour window, and stops the moment a lead replies or says no.
Let Sid answer first.
Every enquiry answered in seconds. Every lead followed up until it closes. From ₹1,999/month.
